Both of these options may take some time depending on how often the brand checks their social media pages as well as how often do they interact with other customers. For example, I have seen many cases were I personally tag the brand in the image and I’ll most likely get alike but if they comment, it means so much more. It takes more time for them to comment than it does for them to just double tap and keeps on scrolling. This ultimately means that they spent some time on my page to see what I have to offer which is good news because it then motivates me to post and tag them in more of my content.
The option of emailing can work in your favor if you are persistent. One should keep in mind that there is a high volume of photographers and content creators like yourself who are trying to capture the attention of the brand as well. Therefore you should stay persistent as much as possible to do just a bit more than the next guy. It’s never a promise that the brand will pick you but your work will not go unseen.
